About the Artist Amy Susi lives in Miramar Beach, Florida with her husband Thomas Susi and their four boys. She draws commissioned work exclusivly for Geana's Art Gallery in Destin, Florida. She began her art career at 7 years old when she had her first lesson. She holds a BFA in studio art from the University of South Alabama and has taught art in private and public schools. Amy has obtained over 14 awards and has been published in a national magazine. She draws in the realistic style paying close attention to detail. It takes 14 to 20 hours to complete each work . Each drawing is completed by looking at a photograph, you will not need to come and sit for your portrait. Several photos may be combined to find the best profile of everyone or to add a different background. Depending on the amount of commissions at the time a work of art should be completed within 2 weeks. All drawings will be completed on Bristol paper. Bristol paper is acid free and therefore will not yellow with time. To maintain an original painting or drawing from fading never put it in direct sunlight. Graphite, or pencil, should be sprayed once every two years with a sealant. Always ask for an acid free matt and non reflected glass when framing an original work of art.
